The Ice House Canyon trail is a popular trail in the Mt. Baldy area of east Los Angeles/ west San Bernardino county. It can be quite popular on the summer weekends and there is limited parking that fills up prior to 8am.
To get to the trailhead it is a relatively easy mountain drive with only a few curves and moderate elevation gain. To get there search Ice House canyon Trailhead in google maps or click on the map below:
The Ice house canyon trail provides access to trails for several local peaks including Cucamonga, Bighorn, Ontario, and the “three T’s” Timber, Thunder and Telegraph. For the truly adventurous even Mt. Baldy is a possibility.
PARKING PERMIT (REQUIRED): Adventure Pass Required. $5 Day Pass, or $30 annual We recommend purchasing an annual pass and the second vehicle pass for an additional which is only an additional $5, You may be able to purchase at visitor center, but it’s best to purchase this ahead of time, especially since you will want to start before the visitor center even opens.
The trail itself can be rated as moderate but as with any trail you may find yourself on either side of that rating.
